Hi and welcome to Bliss Farms.
I'm Wayne Gibbins, co-founder at Bliss Farms, and I'm excited to let you in on what we're all about. We're on a mission to shake up farming as we know it, with our hearts set on nurturing a planet that's bursting with life.
The way we've been farming for the past 60 years or so has left our soil worn out, our wildlife thin on the ground, and our greenhouse gases through the roof. But let's not point fingers at the farmers - they've been doing their best to feed a booming population with the tools we've (read agribusiness) often pushed on them.
Here at Bliss Farms, we see a world where farming co-exists in a more harmonious way within the ecosystems that surround it. We see a future where farmers can make a decent living, whilst looking after the environment and strengthening communities. A future where nature, tech, and money all join hands to build a thriving, sustainable, and productive world.
We begin this adventure with a pilot project with dairy farms in the UK, starting in Wales! We're using all the latest tech - eDNA, satellites, acoustic monitoring, and AI - to set up baselines, establish benchmarking and work out good practices. Our goal is to prove that these solutions work and can give farmers the data they need to make smart choices for their farms and their businesses whilst providing the supply chain with much-needed metadata on topics like biodiversity, welfare, and CO2e.
But that's not all - we've got big plans up our sleeve. As you'll see on our homepage, we're setting up a team to raise funds for land management, backing regenerative startups, providing metric-linked transition loans, and securing contracts for regenerative farms. We'll also support farms with renewable energy, circular economy, waste reduction tech, water management, robotics, and more, to help them thrive in a regenerative future.
We've brought together a team of pros from the farming, finance, and sustainability worlds to work hand in hand with our partner farms and we're teaming up with pioneering ag-tech startups leading the way in farming tech. By knitting these innovations into our services, we'll give our partner farms the tools and data they need to make choices that drive regenerative progress.
We hope that together, we can change the face of regenerative sustainable farming, and pave the way for a brighter future for everyone. We'd love for you to join us on this ride as we sow the seeds for a brighter future for farming, food, and societal health!
